About

In May 2010 I discovered, aged 45, that I was pregnant. Three days later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Both were completely unexpected.

In early June I had surgery to remove a tumour and, three, agonising weeks after that I ended my pregnancy. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

This blog is my distraction.

PS In case you’re wondering about the title, it’s after an installation by Martin Creed on the front of a former orphan asylum in east London. You can find out more here.
